The image for the background is a bit big, but not that much yet. You also have to keep in mind the resources you're loading on the theme.

Just tell me what you're looking for, like what's this design meant to be for. And I might be able to come with some ideas.

I am launching a paid host called indietech. It's targeting graphics designers, rich media etc, basically something i had in the piepline for a long time and only just got round to doing I wanted a kind of alternate grunge look but it's not a familiar style to me

hmm is a bit hard to tell you ideas, because I can't stop thinking on this site

But I'd go for something less grungy for the container, and use a bit big rounded corners on the main one. Then I'd add a darker section on top (and inside) the main container with a rotator like I did here (one of my firsts wp themes). But I'm not good explaining graphic stuff out of my mind

XD i know, but they don't go with that rough look to well, neither does jQUERY XD

Like VB 4.0 is now using. I like what they've done to their new default theme.

jQuery is the best thing that have happend to us And rounded corners are nice, I only used them 1 time here though.

Also, go for an style you know for your website (specially if you're offering a service).
