So now you can nicely toggle all the categories and keep hidden the ones you want don't visite very often *cough* Support (unless you need it sometime lol) *cough*

Oh, and the Panel will also keep toggled for you now Smile

You may know we'll be hosting a raffle in some time (which I still have to define). But, I was thinking of making the raffle something funnier than just posting some random users. I could simply build a java application to throw me random usernames from the ones that were submited, but where's the creative thing there? So here I'm asking what you'd like to see for the raffle Tongue

I was thinking about a video, and then take little papers from it (like the old fashion way Tongue). But I'm not sure!

We’re now officially open Big Grin Though, we’ll keep making some changes here and there. Currently, we have only three premium themes available, but the number will increase in no much time. Also some author themes are coming real soon.


Plenty of things waiting for you!

We have some interesting projects, including Premium themes, author themes, custom themes and theming support. Well, pretty much everything has to deal with themes and design. To know some more about this, you can go ahead and read this pre-opening post.

Now some facts about this site (in case you didn’t notice some):
  • A fancy scrolling, featured themes box. Here you can check the latest or highlighted themes at indiePaper.
  • Fancy collapses! Try to collapse a category on the index, and you’ll find a surprise.
  • Check our logo!
  • Toggle Panel: show or hide the panel for you to browse the site in a cleaner way.
  • You can buy individual themes at very low rates! No subscriptions needed at all!
  • We have a live demo section (not currently working for guests, but our developer [Pirata Nervo] will work on that soon)
  • Nice bubbles on the panel for each option.
  • CSS Sprites! Aren’t they clever, efficient and effective? There are quite some around, which increase the page load in a good rate.
  • Minified CSS/JS for faster load.
  • And some others I forgot, but will edit this once I remember Tongue

Known issues to fix
  • The live demo theme changer does not work for guests
  • The odd wrap in the post bit, that makes the top of the bubble-like post not to show properly. (Everything is measured, and the images have the size that they should...)
  • Themes repository: we're working on new templates for this.
  • Validating errors, I haven't checked this one, so there might be some.
  • The portal, yeah, it's totally un-customized now. But it will be soon.
  • Smilies, we will change them (but it's honestly no on top of the list)
“Why didn’t you wait until everything was perfect to open the site?”, because we had a huge delay already. And because I realized that if I went through every single detail I probably wouldn’t ever open the site. We’ll be fixing all this soon.

I see some people started to register, even though the site is not ready yet Tongue But I guess it's my fault for not closing registrations.

Currently, we have about the 90% of the theme ready, and we’re preparing everything to be ready for the launch.


While that happens, I thought I'd share what this project is now, so...


Innovation&themes

indiePaper is intended to transform theming for MyBB into something different. The original perspective was to start refreshing MyBB themes by trying something new ourselves. Nevertheless, we certainly believe there’s a lot of people with amazing ideas floating on their heads, and to serve our ultimate objective, we offer opportunities for those people to explode their creativity.

Get custom!

indiePaper provides a full custom theme service. Going from design concept to the final working result. We’ve worked for a huge range of clients. Going from a maternity talk forum, Mummies Time out, to one of the biggest MyBB mods site, MyBBSource (not yet implemented). We are working on the order page (which will be pretty cool and will make the process an amusing experience). Currently, you contact me through PM if you’re interested on a custom theme. We also offer Wordpress themes and xHTML/CSS templates to match your forum.

In addition, we offer the ability to customize some portions of our premium themes (the level of customization varies with each theme). This is to provide a very affordable option for people willing to give an original touch to their premium themes.

Participate!

If you’re a themer, designer or have experience with xHTML/CSS/javascript(optional) you can work with us!

As a themer, you develop the complete theme yourself and gain a 90% of the sales. For more info, go here.

If you’re a designer, but don’t have much experience coding your designs, we offer a Direct partnership and a co-working program. With the direct partnership, we work with you to code the theme and each part receive 40% of the revenue. In a co-working program, one of the affiliated coders are assigned to work with you. Again, each part get 40% of the revenue. (coming soon)

If you’re a coder, experienced with xHTML/CSS and javascript (optional, jQuery is preferred as framework), but lack some creativity you could work with one of the affiliated designers to complete the theme. (coming soon)

We are currently not accepting more people on indiePaper’s official branch, just affiliated workers are been taken.

Why am I here?

As you know, indie stands for independent, and that is one of our objectives: to help theme authors to get some revenue from their work, while they develop better techniques and revolutionary styles.


How it works?

It's simple. You make your theme and provide a live demo. The staff will evaluate the theme, and if they accept it, you will receive a PM with an stimated price you could bill for it. Though, you can price the theme how you will* (you can even make the theme free). After that, the theme will be published on the Themes section, and will be available for customers to buy it.


Credit on my themes?

indiePaper will add a single and unobstrusive line with a linkback to the site on all themes. You're always allowed to place your own credits, but please use this standard:

This is because we've developed a technique to reduce inlegitime credit removals from themes.

We have a fee of $5 for credit removal on a single domain. This is optional, and as themer you can decide if it's available on your themes.
